What we collect and why

• Contact form: your name, email address, optional phone number and message, so we can reply to your enquiry. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or steps you ask us to take before a contract.
• Booking a call: if you book through our Calendly scheduler, Calendly collects your name, email, the time you choose and any answers you give, so we can hold the call. Lawful basis: steps you ask us to take before a contract.
• Email: if you email us, we keep the conversation in our Google Workspace mailbox to deal with it and any work that follows.
• Analytics (only if you accept): Google Analytics 4 records pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser details and how you arrived, using cookies. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time from "Cookie settings" in the footer.
• Cookieless measurement: Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights count page views and measure page speed without cookies and without identifying you. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running a fast, working website.
• Server logs: our host, Vercel, processes technical data such as IP address and browser type for security and to deliver the site. Lawful basis: legitimate interest.

Who we share it with

We use these providers to run the site and our business. They process data on our behalf or as described in their own policies:

• Formspree (United States): delivers contact form messages to our inbox.
• Calendly (United States): call booking on /book.
• Google (Ireland and United States): Google Workspace email, and Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager if you accept analytics.
• Vercel (United States): website hosting, cookieless analytics and speed measurement.
• Neon (database host): stores the website's own content and the site administrators' sign-in accounts. It does not hold contact form messages.

International transfers

Some providers are in the United States. Where data leaves the UK, we rely on the UK–US data bridge or the provider's standard contractual clauses with the UK addendum.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and emails: for as long as needed to deal with them and any work that follows, then for as long as the law requires for business and tax records.

Google Analytics data: kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, then deleted by Google.

Booking details: kept in Calendly until the call has happened and any follow-up is done.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, ask for it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Email info@dovedesign.io. We reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to sort it out first.
